Education Through The Television :: Technology, TV, Informative

Education Through The Television"TV is justly called the detractor tube." I disagree, in my opinion,television has more positive and informational uses. Television is flat beingused much in school because it is proven that students mean and comprehendbetter than from a regular class lecture.     Television has always been good for spreading the news of current worldevents but it is now being used for more educational and informationaldocumentaries. Television is becoming more and more an educational essentialfor children. Before they start school, children learn many basic andfundamental tools from television. Most kids learn the alphabet and how tocount from shows homogeneous Sesame Street and Barney. As children get older there argonmany story- guaranteeing shows that either feature stories with good morals or theytell masterpiece stories like Hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc.. Some ofthese stories ar now a part of our culture and childr en know and understandthem because of television.     As people invoke older, television, at least for recent generations, playsa large role in socialization. On many sitcoms and talk shows one can learn ofproblems of at present like teenage pregnancy, poverty, drugs, etc.. Television alsoseems to support somewhat courteous morals, a very religious person may not hark backso but television still follows the good guy-hero, bad guy-loser theme. From original shows on TV one can learn what sort of things are socially acceptablefor instance fashion, behavior and hobbies.Television features many "how-to" shows like gardening, painting, cooking,etc..
